Octane Render is the world's first GPU based, un-biased, physically based standalone renderer. It is fully interactive which allows you to make changes to -- lighting, materials, camera settings, depth of field, and more -- in real time with instantaneous feedback so that you can see the results as you are tweaking to your heart's desire. As mentioned, Octane Render is a standalone app, which means that you don't have to have your primary 3D app opened to use it.
Here is a little pack of 7 mel scripts creating simple shading networks useful for compositing. To create the shader simply drag and drop the corresponding mel script in Maya viewport, or load it in script editor and then install it in a shelf using provided icons.
