The Unity 4.6 release contains a new UI system and includes x86 support for Android (you can now select FAT, x86 or ARMv7 as a build target). This will allow you to export for x86 Android devices, like the new Nexus player from Google. Deformation Cleaner is a modifier for 3ds Max that smooths arbitrary deformations of a model without smoothing the original detail. It can be used as a fast post correction step on top of any deformation. Deformation Cleaner works with 3ds Max and 3ds Max Design 9/2008/2009/2010/2011/2012/2013/2014/2015 (32 & 64-Bit).

The folks at Maxon want to get some helpful user feedback, whether you are a C4D user or not (BodyPaint too.. but most people have moved on to MARI, Mudbox, ZBrush and others). Please, let's all give them the input they'll need to improve their direction to remain in the CG market.. while this is just a feeling, we are pretty much expecting that any day now, there will be an announcement made that Maxon has been acquired by Adobe. And we all know what happens when big companies acquire software developers.. the software DIES :( (common, just look at Autodesk's legacy to date). SO - for the health of the industry and keeping as many software solutions available as possible, just give them a few minutes of your time!
There have been a few recent updates to the current version of Krita. They include changes to the UI of the transform tools, how background colour works, ongoing work with development in transform masks, Layer Effects, animation plu-in, bugfixes and more! In another line of acquisitions from The Foundry, they have today added the 2D illustration package "Mischief" to their repertoire of commercial software. This move while "only a 2D drawing app" seems to be not of much significance, looks to be yet another step to go head-to-head with Autodesk. Former SketchBook Pro guy Chris Cheung, who is now at The Foundry, is leading the initiative with Mischief, and with the aggressive (good for us) pricing of $25 USD, from the $129 it was a year ago, things should get pretty interesting from here on out.
A couple of guys in Argentina did this 10-second fan film in tribute of Terminator, and were learning Blender for it a long the way. Check out the amount of 3D and compositing work they did for it - congrats to them on a job well done!
