The makers of Arion renderer has announced that they will no longer be supporting 32-bit version of their rendering application, which only makes sense since probably just your grandmother is using 32-bit hardware these days. In addition, they have announced the adoption of CUDA 6.5, which means that the next builds of their products will feature explicit support for sm_50 architectures like NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 and others.

We don't really know what to make of this news - as there is actually no official information coming from either Autodesk or Lagoa, which is a little bit strange. However, according to sources CGPress, TechVibes and others, Thiago da Costa's cloud-based 3D design platform has been sold for $62 million to Autodesk. Thiago who is no stranger to Autodesk, having licensed Lagoa Multi-Physics to the now dead Softimage (RIP) some time ago, also has numerous past Autodesk developers on board...who are no doubt to be thrilled about returning back to the clutches/embrace of their former overlord.
